Beneficial Action of Chlorogenic Acid

  • Prevents proliferation of new fat cells due to its Antioxidant activity.
  • Reduces the activity of enzymes responsible for conversion of fat into glucose in the liver. Once this conversion is hampered, stored fat in the body is broken down to release glucose.
  • Chlorogenic Acid Functions as a Novel Agonist of Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor (PPAR). It significantly alters lipid metabolism and hence results in lowering body weight, decreased visceral or abdominal fat, and lower Plasma leptin and insulin levels.
  • Other health benefits include low cholesterol level, reduction in high blood pressure along with more energy in the body.
